Get to know: Chris Swartzlander

Wayyyy back in 1975, I visited a friend's house. In the corner of his room, casting a long shadow over my six year old form, were stacks and stacks of comics. Like a moth to a flame, I was drawn to them. He gave me a handful to take home, and I fell in love. Among those gifted four color fantasies were a few Adventure comics starring the Legion of Superheroes and Spider-Man; bright, colorful tales that cast a spell of delight over my young heart.

That spell held strong, and comic books kept me company during a very transient childhood. Throughout good times, comics served only to make them better. During the more often bad times, they were always there to guide me to a happier place; a place where the good guys won and evil was defeated. It was a place as different from my reality as night and day. Heck, they were even there for me both times I went to combat when I was in the Army.

I love Horror comics, but I specialize in comics featuring or related to comic's OG team, The Justice Society of America.

I found Code-X station through my good friend "Uncle" Gary. He told me he was on the show and I began to tune in religiously for my much needed comic talk fix. Eventually, the fellas that run the show asked me to guest host. Like a cockroach, I stayed and now they can't get rid of me!
